Product Review: Moroccan Oil Root Boost

The Moroccan Oil Root Boost is by far one of my favorite products. You all know I love me some volume and this product makes it effortless! I was a little skeptical at first, thinking, why do I need a mousse and a root boost. Isn’t that the point of the mousse?

I talked with the Moroccan Oil product representative where she informed me of the use of each product.

The root boost is specifically designed for the roots. It is designed to prep the roots with a strong textured foundation prior to styling. The root boost thickens each strand to give ultimate volume.

The mousse can be used on the roots as a volumizing product, but it was actually designed for the entire hair strand. To help hold the style created with the round brush or hot tools.

Product Review: Hairspray Favs

This Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray and Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray by Redken are my two favorite hairsprays for different reasons:

What I love about the Moroccan Oil Hairspray:
-Very workable
-Light Weight
-Smells great. I always get compliments when people walk by
-It gives your hair enough of a texture to hold the style
-Flexible enough to allow you to run your fingers through it

How I use Moroccan Oil Hairspray:
-I use it as a root lift and also down the entire hair shaft before I blow dry each section.

What I love about the Forceful 23 Hairspray:
-It has a much stronger hold
-Great to use as a finishing spray on long hair or short hair
-Perfect as a primer for blow drying curls

How I use the Forceful 23 Hairspray:
-I use this hairspray section by section if I am blow drying long hair and curling with the blow dryer and brush. It holds the curl that I am making so that I do not have to use the curling iron.
-With that being said, you have to be on top of your game. Once you spray one section you have to start brushing and blow drying immediately or you will not be able to run a brush through.
-It has a very strong hold perfect for holding hair in place which is  a good and bad thing. This hairspray is not your friend if you like to run your fingers through your hair and play with it.
