Date Night: Roy’s Resturant

This afternoon David called and asked if the kids and I wanted to go out for sushi. I jumped at the chance to neglect my cooking duties. I had another thought: DATE NIGHT. Dinner as a fam is pretty wonderful, but I’ve been craving a DATE NIGHT with my cute husband. One call to Grandmama and we were good to go. (I owe ya a blowout, Mom)

We decided on Roy’s Restaurant! Can you say ahmazing!

This is what we ordered:

  • LOBSTER CALIFORNIA ROLL | Cucumber, Avocado, and Tobiko
  • Hawaiian Ahi Poke | Shoyu, spicy rayu, inamona, wakame salad & molokai sea salt
  • ROY’S TRIO | Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Roasted Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi, Misoyaki Butterfish
  • ROY’S CHOCOLATE SOUFFLE

We feasted. It would be wise to get your make out session on before you go to dinner because after dinner last night I could hardly move. I COULD NOT STOP EATING. The food was delicious.

I think next time we go, David and I would be set with wine, the Hawaiian Ahi Poke, the MISOYAKI “BUTTERFISH” instead of the trio because the Butterfish is THAT good, and of course the Chocolate Souffle is a must!

Gardening With My Babe

I had a woman come talk to my Mom’s group about Gardening with kids.
She shared how important it is for my kids to get their hands dirty, smell the fresh dirt smell, and to have the responsibility of helping something grow.
I’ve been teetering with the idea of creating a garden or some sort of outdoor fun space for the kids — after hearing this talk I am hooked.
So far I have purchased one potted plant, but I’d say I am on the right road.
